I'm currently playing around with InfluxDB, I've managed to import the contents of the Postgres database I use to store my temperature data (https://virtualwolf.org/weather), all ~6 million rows, one for each minute going back to the end of 2014 for both inside and outside, and holy fuck is it fast to query and make graphs out of that data. 😮
@virtualwolf Coincidentally I’m investigating some of the more advanced features of InfluxDB right now for $dayjob. Downsampling of data once it hits a certain age, continuous queries to produce derived values in real time, joining data against external databases like MySQL. Hit me up if you need advice.
