Coronavirus, casual factory workers, advice requested

Cambridge 'Admiral' N99, good for up to 300 hours, depending on air quality. Filtration based on British Cold War NBC respirators. Actually got them for bushfire smoke we never saw, but when you're immunocompromised and have flu season AND COVID 19 around the corner, this is our new look around town.

Just found an unopened litre container of ethanol-based hand sanitiser. Such hidden wealth!

Stolen from [AT]crypt on :birdshite:

"Due to Coronavirus (COVID19), all TCP applications are being converted to UDP to avoid handshakes.

This is a UDP joke, so I don't care if you don't get it."

@aussocialadmin Now that's one I haven't seen before - brief pop-up: rate limited, please try after 1:15pm (the time was 1:15pm.) I wasn't doing anything at the time, other than having just switched to the window.

Bolton, Barnsley, Nelson, Colne
Burnley, Bradford, Buxton, Crewe
Warrington, Widnes, Wigan, Leeds
Northwich's grim up north.

And only ten seconds.

It seems that the solution to my Mac Mini WIFI drop-outs is to disable WIFI and chuck a cable in the back of the damn thing.

I wish I knew some way to get vagrant to proxy so that I could do ONE get of an updated box on my local network, and not have every damn instance pull from S3, at nearly two hours a pop.

Hey everybody, are you well?

Have I missed anything?

I felt very anti-establishment in Aldi, as I appeared to be the only one without Victory Bog Roll in my shop. (I actually went in for one thing worth hoarding: chocolate.)

I guess there are worse things than Sisters of Mercy earworms.

OMG OMG OMG! I just realised that said directory could be a network share. So I can edit on the Mac and test on the VM host, different Laravel versions, with NO FILE COPYING.

Now remind me how you make a Samba share...

YOU BEAUTY! (I just figured how easy shared folders are with Homestead.)

Not the Mac, they don't upgrade; this is the refurb HP Elitebook, which is now both the oldest, and most powerful machine in the house.

So, having upgraded my laptop for $CANCELLED_CONTRACT, I do at least now have a decent (and portable) VM host, and have finally gotten around to installing Laravel Homestead, with Vagrant.

And I have to say - I'm liking what I'm seeing.
